Amendment 188

There is an updated health and safety policy which replaces the previous policy.

Amendment 187

Following consultation and agreement with trade unions, there is a new safety for business travel policy which replaces the safety when working overseas policy.

Amendment 185

Following consultation and agreement with trade unions, there is a new driving safely at work policy which replaces the travelling safely by car policy.

Amendment 184

Following consultation and agreement with trade unions, there is new equality and diversity guidance for research funding.

In addition, seven of the existing harmonised policies have been amended. These are listed below and the changes can be found in the amendment history at the bottom of each policy.

Amendment 183

A recent review of the BBSRC personal promotion scheme has resulted in some changes to the process. The main changes are as follows:

  • Removal of personal role evaluation form
  • Provision of clear and succinct criteria for promotion
  • A simplified nomination form that refers applicants to the promotion criteria
  • Clarification on the provision of referees
  • Clarification of core membership of Promotion Interview Panels
  • Clear information on how the nomination is assessed

Cabinet Office has published new guidance on settlement agreements which has informed some minor amendments to Appendix A14.9 standard settlement agreement and A14.10 agreed severance procedure.

Amendment 181

Following consultation and agreement with trade unions, the relocation policy has been updated. Details regarding the amendments can be found in the amendment history at the bottom of the policy.

In addition there are two new guidance notes for staff undergoing fertility treatment and managing bereavement.

Following consultation and agreement with trade unions, the maternity, adoptive, maternity support (paternity) and parental leave policy and the annual leave policy have been updated. Details regarding the amendments can be found in the amendment history at the bottom of the policy.
