Bioprocessing Research Industry Club (BRIC)

A partnership between BBSRC, EPSRC and a consortium of leading companies to support innovative bioprocess-related research, including that needed for the manufacture of complex biopharmaceuticals.

The first phase of BRIC (BRIC1) is closed. £13.2M of funding has been distributed to 25 research projects. Activities for BRIC1 will continue through research projects, networking and dissemination until 2011/2012.

The second phase of BRIC (BRIC2) has begun and continues the partnership of BBSRC, EPSRC and leading companies, with a further investment of £10M over 5 years.
