Purpose
To promote proteomics-based studies that increase our understanding of cell function in the normal state, or that underpin the development of new drugs, vaccines and diagnostics and the development of new approaches to dealing with infection.
Key aims
To maintain and improve the UK’s competitive position in the following areas:
- understanding cell function in the normal state and, in the case of plants and animals, the abnormal or diseased state
- underpinning the development of new drugs, vaccines and diagnostics and developing new approaches to dealing with infection
