Last remaining places for free media training in May
19 April 2012
There are still a few places left on our next media training course which is being held on 10 May in central London.
Free for researchers in the BBSRC community, the course gives attendees hands-on experience of dealing with practicing print and radio journalists in a friendly, supportive environment.
Recent surveys have shown that there is a great appetite for hearing about science amongst the UK population and that most people still hear about science through traditional media such as television and print newspapers (ref 1). By learning how to work effectively with the media scientists can tell large audiences about their science and why it is important.
The course gives attendees a journalist's eye view of how the media works and will give you tips about how to work with reporters to promote your science effectively and accurately.
