Appointments to BBSRC Pool of Experts

The BBSRC Pool of Experts was established in 2008 to ensure that BBSRC retains the appropriate expertise to assess the applications it receives. The membership of the Pool of Experts is under constant review to ensure that it remains flexible and able to respond to emerging science areas.
BBSRC has identified a number of vacancies within the Pool of Experts and would in particular welcome applications in the following areas:
- Animal welfare
- Agricultural systems
- Bacteriologists
- Basic cell biology (all organisms)
- Behaviour (non-human)
- Bioenergy
- Bioprocessing
- Environmental biotechnology
- Food technology
- Immunology
- Industrial biotechnology
- Microbiology
- Molecular developmental biology
- Molecular neuroscience
- Photosynthesis
- Soil science
- Tissue engineering
BBSRC Appointments Board considers expressions of interest from individuals in both the academic and industrial sectors. The Board welcomes expressions of interest for membership of the Pool of Experts throughout the year and will consider these at its meetings in April and September.

Please note: the Board will continue to consider expressions of interest to fill vacancies on the BBSRC Strategy Panels, Core Committee positions and the Training Awards Committee at its autumn meeting.
