Opportunity to join BBSRC’s Council

BBSRC is seeking applications from suitably qualified academics to join its Council.

One vacancy is being advertised for an academic with an outstanding research record in the biochemical engineering, food materials, microbiology sector. Full details can be found in the role and person specification.

This vacancy is a part of several positions being appointed across five of the seven Research Councils and appointments will be made by the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills.

An honorarium of £6,850 is paid annually to BBSRC Council members. The closing date for applications is 14 November 2011 and interviews will subsequently be held on 10 February 2012.
