BBSRC/HEFCE study of land-based facilities and resources

May 2009

  • BBSRC/HEFCE study of land-based facilities and resources (PDF 678KB)

On behalf of UK public research funders, we have commissioned this study to better understand UK land-based (agricultural) resources and infrastructure. The report is independent of the research priorities of the funders, and highlights the resources of the greatest strategic importance, and how the facilities and resources fit with the broader UK science and infrastructure base.

The study identifies land-based facilities and resources (LBFs) by:

  • Cataloguing LBFs available to the UK science base and establishing key trends
  • Identifying LBFs of greatest strategic importance to the UK science base, with a rationale for selecting them
