Efficiency savings
In 2006-07 we delivered efficiency savings worth £22.5M by:
- Reducing the proportion spent on administration
- Reprioritising programme spend
- Increased co-funding of research with industrial and other partners
BBSRC's administration costs represented 2.6% of its Science Budget Income for 2006-07.
Introduction of Microsoft SharePoint has produced operational efficiencies and reduced requirements for hard copy storage.
