Institute Board

The Institute Board is a Board of Council.

It provides a high level advisory and strategic forum for developing and reviewing the management and operations of BBSRC institutes with a particular focus on:

  • Sustainability
  • Capital infrastructure
  • Human resources
  • Knowledge transfer
  • Good governance

The Board is non-executive and provides an annual strategic overview of the management of BBSRC institutes, the estate, intellectual property and the people who contribute to science and economic impact delivery. It helps to provide a framework for institute operations and an assurance that these are aligned with BBSRC strategies, a longer term vision, value for money, and that governance is effective.
