Research Committees

Research Committees A-D assess responsive mode funding applications. Each Committee has a Core membership that is complemented at a meeting by additional members drawn from the Pool of Experts. The ratio of Core and Pool members varies from meeting to meeting, however there will always be a greater number of Core members than Pool. This Core/Pool mode of operation ensures the appropriate expertise is available to assess the applications received. A list of all members attending each meeting is published following each meeting on each of the Research Committee pages (see links below).

For information about serving on a Committee or Pool of Experts see the Committee/Pool membership link below.

Research Committee E assess fellowship applications and other personal awards.

*Science Technology Engineering and Maths – Committee C will consider generic STEM approaches to biology; specific applications will be considered by the Committee providing the appropriate biological context.
