UK Research Office (UKRO)
The UK Research Office (UKRO) in Brussels is jointly sponsored by the Research Councils, with BBSRC as the managing partner.
UKRO serves as the Research Councils’ office in Europe and provides subscription-based guidance and support to the UK academic research organisations. In addition, it functions as the national contact point for the Marie Curie Actions and the European Research Council (ERC) on behalf of the UK government.
UKRO offers support and advice, training courses, information events, and focus groups on EU programmes, policies, and funding opportunities. The annual conference for European officers gives updates on current programmes and policies by staff of the European Commission, government representatives and other policy makers. In addition, the UKRO office also provides a popular meeting room and visitor’s office within walking distance of most EU buildings.
Further details can be found on the UKRO portal (see external links).
