Dialogue activities:

Dialogue materials

The resources that were produced for the dialogue remain available here for anyone who would like to run a discussion event about bioenergy. However, there is no longer the opportunity for feedback from such events to be included in the project report.

Along with the dialogue materials, guidelines are provided to help you set up a discussion event (see below).

Future scenarios

There are four scenarios, which are projections of what the future might look like if particular decisions are taken regarding the use (or non-use) of bioenergy in the UK energy market. These are not the only possible scenarios nor are they meant to represent the most likely or feasible scenarios, although they are plausible examples (ref 1).

Scenarios are intended to inspire debate around the kind of future that is socially acceptable and be deliberately provocative to encourage discussion.

Democs card game

Democs is a conversation card game where you can learn about bioenergy and discuss your opinions about it. No expert knowledge is required for this game that encourages group discussion and allows anyone to explore the issues around bioenergy (ref 2). All you need is to access the game from the toolkit, a couple of hours and six to eight people (though you can play with more or less) to get started.
