Stem cell exhibition

Stem cell science - Hope not hype

Understanding the biology of stem cells offers hope to suffers of degenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases. It also presents challenges for both policymakers and scientists in balancing public expectation with scientific reality.

This Research Councils UK exhibition, led by BBSRC and the Medical Research Council, describes how stem cell research is progressing, and how the Research Councils are listening and responding to public attitudes on this controversial area of science. The display is available for short-term loan upon request.

The exhibition was updated in 2010/11 in response to BBSRC/MRC Stem Cell dialogue. For more information about the dialogue see related links.

The exhibition is available for loan.
