Four Research Committees are responsibile for considering applications for basic, strategic and applied research within our portfolio.

Committees are responsible for:

Peer review of grant applications
Assessment of final reports on funded applications, including interim reports on stand-alone LINK projects
Providing information on application trends, as required

The scientific remits of the Research Committees are designed to cover the full range of science that we support. A delivery team of both administrative and scientifically-qualified staff support the Committees, who review all applications for fit to Research Committee and BBSRC remit.
