Purpose
To develop an active and cohesive cross-disciplinary community at the mathematics/systems biology interface.
Key aims
- To increase the number of collaborative applications to BBSRC addressing specific challenges in systems biology
- To encourage the inclusion of branches of mathematics that have not been traditionally associated with biology
- To encourage systems biological applications at all levels of biological organisation
Outputs
- All 5 funded networks have commenced their grants
- Each network has activities planned for the 3 year period, including workshops and summer schools
- A grant holders workshop was held in 2008
