In May 2009 a review was undertaken of technology transfer policy and operations within the institutes of BBSRC.
The objectives of the review were to:
- Review and assess the current status of technology transfer operations in institutes of BBSRC
- Review and assess the 3 technology transfer organisations used by institutes of BBSRC
- Compare current practice in institutes of BBSRC against ‘best in class’ technology transfer operations elsewhere
- Present and evaluate options for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of technology transfer operations in institutes of BBSRC
- Provide suggestions on how BBSRC should evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of technology transfer operations including a review of current metrics
